OLD MADRID TERRACE

A lot of people know that Madrid is a hectic, traffic jammed, industrial city. But what very few people know is that hidden in its center lies a XII century old, tranquil, cobble stone, romantic neighborhood. And this is what we like most about this city, that the medieval village it was before becoming Spain´s capital is still there.

The picture depicts one of our favorite terraces in Old Madrid. The building with the green blinds is an early XVIII century aristocratic house. The bell tower behind it is Mudejar style and dates back to the XIII century.
